Notes: This story single handedly got me out of a painful recording drought! Ovechkin's POV voice was a delight to record and I had so much fun. I hope I got the few Russian words approximately right.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS PODFICCCCCCC

I listened to this while driving today and was beaming the whole time. Your Alex voice was so delightful; YOU sounded delighted to be breathing life into his character like that! and I was delighted to listen to it! His confidence and lack of vulnerability was so charming, and you nailed that about him. He's like an rpf fangirl; maybe you were channeling yourself??? I don't know how you did it so naturally, but it was great! (I also am relistening to Never Marry for Money in bits and pieces when the mood strikes, and your Alex voice is strikingly similar to your Dustin voice. Which I think is a very good intuitive or cerebral decision.)

You took more time to read Sid's lines, and Geno's, and it gave them appropriate weight to balance the extroverted and chatty Ovechkin.

I just enjoyed the podfic so much; what a gem of a fic, and what a fun and emotive reading by you!!! <3

:D Thank you! This was a great fic to record. I read it when I had insomnia, I was reading it on my phone and I just started reading out lines (in the dark, with my phone over my head) and giggling like mad. I was incredibly happy to record this story and it's one of the few podfics I've made where I've listened right away just for my own pleasure.

Alex is awesome! I spent ages learning how to say his last name the Russian way and then I actually didn't need to use it :) Voicing him was a lot of fun and was exactly what I needed (emotionally) at the time. I think I was definitely channeling how excited I was to be recording such an awesome story, about such amazingly written characters, it felt perfect to me. There may have been a slight Hockey FEELS explosion :D And yes I definitely think it's close to my Dustin voice, I wasn't thinking that explicitly at the time, but I can clearly see how (in my head) they are related.

Sid and Geno! I love them, but this was Alex's show. Alex was the driving force, a whirlwind, and they took some time to catch up.

Thank you for listening and leaving me such a great and thoughtful comment. I had a lot of feelings while creating this and it's great to know that I connected to someone else. Podfic can feel like sending your feelings off into the great wide ocean of fandom, like a message in a bottle, and comments are like knowing someone else found your message and feels it too <3
