I wrote and performed a vocal performance for
bandomreversebb! Stream Open Scene: Download Open Scene
Sena wrote an AMAZING fic for it! Seriously, I loved it so much I decided it was a FANTASTIC idea to record it in time for the posting date (so I basically had 6 days). I really, really loved the idea of presenting a transformation of a transformation of my own initial transformative work.

Title: Heart Wrapped in Clover
Author:
Sena
Reader:

Beta:
podcath
Cover Art:
reena_jenkins
Bands (and/or pairings): My Chemical Romance, Frank/Mikey
Rating: NC-17
Length: 2:30:03
Content Notes: situations that deal with issues of consent (though all sex is consensual); mention of the one time a character's father was violent when the character was in his teens.
Summary: Everbody's got their not-so-secret secrets on tour. When you live out of a van, you just can't help but notice things that you shouldn't talk about if you don't want to embarrass your friends or start a fight. Frank wishes sometimes they talked about things, though, just because he's dying to ask if anybody else has noticed that sometimes, Mikey wears panties.

Date: 2012-03-16 11:05 pm (UTC)In other news, when i'm not writing, I'm searching for images! A couple of nights ago, I literally drove through SF via googlemaps to find a good front for the clinic.... *headdesk*

Date: 2012-03-16 11:10 pm (UTC)I am so glad you listened, regardless of fandom, and that you took something emotional away from it. So much of myself went into such a tiny piece. Thanks so much for listening and commenting.

Date: 2012-04-05 02:42 pm (UTC)I love the way you read. Your pacing, and that you never sound hurried, and that it feels like you savor each word, and the EMOTION you put in. Oh, man. When you read funny things (the guys at the farmhouse... "We didn't cross swords!" "I am the only man left in this van!") I can't even breathe I'm laughing so hard. Sweet moments are even sweeter (the tender Frank/Mikey moments OMG my heart). And you can make me cry like no one else. I've gotten smart, finally -- when I sit down to listen to your podfic I keep tissues close at hand because I know I will need them. How do you do it? Why do you do this to meeeeeee? *whines* (I love you. ♥)
Your open scene? Beautiful. And totally broke my heart in 2 minutes. (see above, re: making me cry)
How so awesome? *hugs*
And just FYI? Your Mikey is my favorite Mikey. Close the notebook, cap the pen, the end. :)

Date: 2012-04-05 10:30 pm (UTC)Tissues are definitely useful, I did get a bit emotional when recording this. I'm glad my comic relief moments weren't too jarring and worked well for you. I love how the fic has well developed and dynamic secondary characters, so I really loved those moments.
The Open Scene was strange, as I'd never done anything like it before. I had zero ideas about a past or a future, but I'm so pleased it spoke to you anyway.
*hugs*
Mikey! I love him so much. Thank you so much for saying that, I'm really pleased you like my interpretation of him. There should be SO MUCH MORE fic written with him as a central character, Mikey/Frank is my favourite, but I'm not too picky :D
