Hi! I can't remember if I'd commented on this yet or not (I'm slowly giving feedback to all the podfic on my iPod), but I'm doing it anyway!

So the first time I read this story was when I listened to your podfic of it. I'm glad I did, because your podfic was just perfect. Just - ugh- you brought out the humour in Frank's anger at Fabio and the lawyer guy so well, and I loved the way you performed the banter between Mikey and Frank, especially the scene in the shopping aisle with the pickles (Should we get two? Let's get two of everything!) and when Mikey's cutting Frank's dreads off. Oh my god, and the singing bits! Mikey's getting his ass fucked for the very first time, it should be a crime that a boy so sublime, is still a vi-i-i-irgin had me laughing so hard! (The way you sung it, not, like, that you're bad at singing or anything)

Also, your character voices are great! I especially love Frank's and Gerard's (Oooh, curly fries!) I could tell you were having fun with Gerard's lines. :D and you managed to put a lot of emotion into them, as well. Like, when I do character voices, I do focus a lot on getting the voice right and maybe neglect some of the feeling? But you had a really great balance throughout the whole podfic.

Oops, sorry for the ramble! Anyway, I really loved this podfic, and thank you for making it, because it is now one of my favourites. :D

I am really flattered that my podfic was your first experience with the story. This is always my preferred method \o/ I am so happy you enjoyed it. I had so much fun creating this. I love Frank and Mikey's interactions and Sena's dialogue was A++ to record.

The singing bits were fun, but gave me a lot of 'WTF' feelings, because Sena didn't give me any notes, so I was like 'I can sing, but MAKING UP MY OWN TUNES????' So, that's so great that you liked those moments, and that they felt 'in character'.

I love playing with character voices, but I know that I cannot really make them real-life-character accurate, so I focus on conveying my own feelings about the characters through my voice. I would love to be able to nail character's speech patterns, or rhythms, and that does influence my approach, but mostly I find my best result comes through FEELINGS.
