Okay, three times through this and I'm still not coherent about this podfic. So much love. I can well believe you read through tears because parts of this broke me, in the best way.

I know I've told you before that I'm deeply imprinted on your voice - and this will do nothing to diminish that - but the other thing that draws me so strongly to your work is the underlying theme of the projects you choose to do. When I think of this and D&P and Catholic Frank they all an underlying theme of chosen family and I think that's another reason your podfics resonate with me so overwhelmingly. It's such a gift and a validation and, wow, type through tears.

Thank you so much. Knowing that you listened more than once is really, really awesome. I LOVE this story. Making the podfic was an emotional journey. I love how arsenicjade's stories just cut me so deeply (yes, 'in the best way').

'Chosen family' is definitely a theme I am very into. I like to think of bands as the ULTIMATE chosen family. Being in a band together, travelling together, creating and performing together, it seems to both test and forge strong connections = FAMILY :D AUs (which obviously I love) magnify these feelings a lot of the time. I had never really looked at it that way before, but it fits so perfectly. I have wondered before why some fandoms stick to me like glue, and some are enjoyable but I have no call to podfic them. I am quite into Teen Wolf right now, and now it makes sense - ALL THE CHOSEN FAMILY!!!

I'm dl'ing it right now and you-I'm actually crying right now because this is one of my top comfort fics, once that I return to time and time and time again and to have it as a podfic...

I hope it lives up to your feelings about the fic. I cried so hard in places while reading this, I'm sure you can tell - but I think it works. I really hope you enjoy it.

Okay, so it took me a bit of time, but I finally finished this and...I'm gutted.

Of course, the most difficult parts to listen to are when Gee talks to Frank when he gets out of the hospital, and when Frank finally tells Gerard the truth. Those are really emotional parts, but your reading of them made it so much worse; it was absolutely heart-wrenching and I was sobbing as I listened.

I really liked the way you portrayed the WayBrother interactions; it felt real and true and perfect. The back-and-forth of two people who know each other really well, know their weaknesses and strengths.

Sometimes, the way you read, the way you change intonation and cadence, my brain goes "Wait, no—" and then something clicks and it turns out that the way you've done it is perfect.

It always feels strange to say 'I am so pleased that I upset you', but knowing that I affected you so strongly makes me feel amazing.

Those scenes were SO tough. I basically started crying immediately and never stopped, the recording had to be pieced together from my epic pauses to actual get myself under control.

Way-bros!!!! \o/ I love them so much, they rocked in this fic.

I'm pleased that my way of reading worked for you, even if it maybe made you double take.

I don't think I ever commented to you about this podfic, and since I've listened to it twice in the past week, obviously it's time to share the love.

Several of your podfics are in my comfort podfics folder, and at this point if I'm keyed up I can turn on one of your podfics and listen for a while and I'll start to settle down. It's kind of magical. Please be careful with that superpower. Only use it for good. ♥ (That is not to say I only listen to your podfics when I need to calm down. But I thought you should know that you have Power. Right. Moving on.)

You have a real gift for bringing through the emotional impact of a podfic. Joy, sadness, anger... you perform them all so well. And oh my God, the bits with Mikey's insecurities hit SO HARD when you read them. I know I read this fic before I listened to your podfic, but the written version didn't affect me even half as much as your performance does. Also? The porn is SO MUCH HOTTER when you read it, holy shit.
